The postman...

...knocked, but I was already at the door, opening it before he had time to let the knocker loose. There in his hand was a box, I couldn't keep the grin from spreading...he must have wondered what I was receiving, as I said thank you, quickly closed the door and disappeared back into the house with my parcel.

I placed it carefully on the table, gently peeling the tape away...and opening my box. Pillows of air surrounded a cone of blue tissue, tied with red twine, threaded with, aptly, a blue bead. I pulled the bow apart, gently unrolled the tissue, and there...looking up at me was my beautiful goosey.

She's wonderful...so beautiful...and utterly gorgeous.
Gretel is amazingly clever...all her art is gorgeous, but...my little goosey is special.

Thank you so much for her...and thank you for your cards...it's made a wonderfully bright morning...

:0) Hooray! That post worked for once! Thank you so much for taking her on, and helping me kick start my goose farm. And thank you for showing her arrival, I am always intrigued to see how they survive the post!

The post worked wonders, and she survived the ordeal beautifully.

She'll be no trouble, though I do think she has a twinkle of naughtiness in her eye! Good luck with the farm...I have a feeling I may have a whole gaggle before you're finished!

Thank you for sending her so carefully...
