...flies when you're enjoying yourself!! Well when you're busy it does!
Lots of markets and fairs have passed since my last post. We had great fun at the Hare Fair in Docking at the end of September. It was in the church and Nicola Hart had worked hard in making all the stalls so pretty. Others have not been so good, and my regular days at Docking and Swaffham have been good to slow, but I think everyone is checking their pockets these days, so I'm not surprised.
Back to the Hare Fair...hare bags, cushions and prints were favourites
and I came away with all the hare cushions and bags having been sold. I
do have a couple of hare prints still, along with a variety of hound
prints.
But I've been busy with orders, like the Mum and daughter set below. Made from Annabel Grey's beautiful fabric, a little bag with purse to match mum's. A cushion is now available... Various colours of a my hand--knitted scarves, either frilled or fringed....more fringed on the way.
Christmas is beginning to loom on the horizon with shops having cards and decorations on sale. Hand made bunting on sale and to order, along with decorations and gifts...
I'm at Docking Market on Wednesday...but there is no market on Friday at Swaffham, we have to give way to the Art Show, but all back to normal next week.

The new...
...prints have arrived and will be ready for sale at Swaffham on Friday at the indoor market.
Thank goodness, I was nearly out of them. I'm asked about them every week...am I the artist. I'm honest and say no...I'm not that talented. Elle has all the talent...just gets the look in the eye just right, plus everything else.
This is her "A Winter Story". I'm nearly out of the hare prints, but do have a rooster this time. I've lots of greyhound and whippet prints for those who've been asking.
Of course, the French soap will be there as usual...verveine, masculin and lavender, plus olive oil soaps...body lotion and shower gel...just ask if you can't make Swaffham and would like to know more. It won't be long before my whole range of items will be displayed. Sandra...who has let me perch at the end of her tables, is moving (with her husband) into a shop in June...so exciting! And I'm taking over the tables...so I'll see you there on Fridays!

Home...
...from having great fun at Drove Orchard Food and Craft Fair. It was a tad chilly, but sunny all morning and people came in their "droves" (sorry for the pun!)... Sold a variety of items and lots of people asking about other bits.
It's always good to catch up with other stallholders, old friends and to make new ones. Now I could sleep for a week...but, photos need to be taken, a website needs to be finished...
So the next one is Sunday, July 22....and if you didn't get to todays, then we'll love to see you then! And it's been said I can take the other items too!

Yesterday...
...was the first visit to Norwich since we've moved. It's strange how being a "local" gives you a whole new view of a city, and you don't feel as though you've got to cram the whole city into one visit, that you can make another visit next week.
In our visiting around we were looking at sofas, for next year you understand! Ha...it doesn't work like that, now does it!? We have two sitting rooms, one has beams, and our current furniture is great for the traditional feel, the other room is a newer extension...and that's where we needed the sofa for....and this is the one we've found...it's not as matt grey as this photo, it's more slubbed and mottled greys...and is in fact a sofa-bed with a proper mattress...
It's coming early February...so I need to get my pots of paint out! The fabric for the blinds is(at present) going to be..."Silver Birch"...again not as grey as this shows, but with a more creamy grey background.
The windows are reasonably large and give views right through the garden. With wooden flooring, a large chunky rug...and splashes of colour brought in...it wasn't going to be the first room thought of, but you just have to do these things sometimes, now don't you!
