These are...

...what arrived yesterday. I just kept a smile on my face all day.

My door and floorboard bench, sitting waiting for the finishing touches.

I'll be making a cushion for it, and maybe a bit of polish...but, I'm thinking about that.

These boxes also arrived...

...with a few more out of shot. These are the start of the working side of the kitchen...sink and cupboards. I think you can just see a hint of the colour?! You can just see the colour charts balanced on one of the boxes. Which one to colour the walls...and doors. So many choices...and so little time.

I was also busy making some necklaces. A friend has a boutique just outside Norwich, part of which is the sale and hire of Prom dresses, and she asked if I could make some necklaces to put with the dresses...so...making some simple beads I put together some necklaces for her. I'll photo these and show a bit of sparkle...every girl needs a bit of sparkle for her party.

The bunny battle still continues. I'm down to only having one hole reopened each morning now, and I see there are two holes in the field next door, so I'm hoping they're gradually getting the idea. Otherwise, the whole area is due for a dig over. I only want them to move slightly...just a matter of ten yards...I do.

A little bit...

...of silver.

I decided yesterday to mix my lamp-work style necklaces with my chain designs, and these are the result...

Above is a necklace of my lamp-work beads of a mingled green and amber glass, with mid amber and sterling silver spacers, with a large agate pendant I found a couple of years ago and had never got to use...

This one is made from cobalt blue lamp-work beads with a drop of white and cobalt, finished with silver beads...

I must admit, I'm more than a little pleased with them...

Someone has...

...chosen one of my necklaces for their Etsy treasury. Cowlick Cutie made a very beautiful treasury using variations of grey. A huge thank you to her, and do visit her very cute shop, she has such pretty ideas.

Grey Street featuring my necklace "Monochrome". It makes you smile from ear to ear to be chosen by someone you don't know...

I've been sent...

...a photo of a beautifully designed and made necklace using my Shadow Grove beads. The designer and artisan is Julie Doolin from California. I love her use of the colours from the beads to complement and enhance her necklace. The colours of the crystals and teardrops running though...bringing it to life.

Thank you very much for sharing and letting me share with others. I do love to see what others design with my beads.

A couple of...

...weeks ago, my sister asked if I'd make some earrings to match a necklace her mother-in-law had given her as a present. Not having seen it in reality, I asked for photos...came up with a design and duly sent them off...forgetting to photo them. I now have those photos, taken by my little sister...

I'm pleased with the effect, and I know she is...she told me so!

And at last...

...the necklace I've been rattling on about. It's a simple wrap, but quite effective with the finger of kyanite.

Also my ear-ring hooks have arrived. So I know what I'm up to today.

I want to mention someone on Etsy, whose work is so exquisite, and fun. She makes mice...yes, mice. They're beautiful little works of art, but such fun, all at the same time. Her Etsy shop is The House of Mouse. I hope you find it as much fun, as I do.

I remembered...

...to order the hooks, and hopefully they should be with me today...

Last night I had a whale of a time. I went out with my daughter-in-law and youngest son's partner (doesn't that sound impersonal). Anyway, a girls night out. We went into town (London) and saw Hairspray...oh, if you have the chance and are close enough...GO!!! It's brilliant, and Micheal Ball as the mother...the tears rolled down our cheeks, he and the guy playing his/her husband got the giggles...and we all had foot stomping, clapping and cheering fun. It's what's needed in this mind numbing newsfest we're going through at present.

And my team lost again, though reading the blogs...we played a bit better. Maybe it was a case of they got their new manager a game before we did. We'll see on Saturday, though unless we score about eight goals we can't improve our position, but if we lose, and the teams below us win, we can slip further.

I'm going to take a photo of the necklace today, and I'll show it here later....so keep your eyes peeled. I've also got to get my act together with making...shopping(groceries) and then work. The husband doesn't want to starve for my art! ;)

That tomorrow came...

...and went very fast. Luckily it's not life or death, and so far not the move or not. It was just the football match, and predictably we didn't win...I'm not going to ruminate further, there are better than me at doing that. Back to the brighter side of things....

I listed some new beads yesterday...nothing extravagant, somehow I don't trust that around here at present, but with getting ready for a jewellery sale, the beads have taken a bit of a back burner, so it was nice to get some out there again. I'm pleased with what there is though. I should post some photos....and also some of my jewellery. I'll sort that soon.

I must admit with the jewellery I've been a hoarder of beads, and now, gradually that hoard is disappearing, so soon enough I'll be out looking for complementary beads, especially as I can use my own lamp-works now. I do like a bit of sparkle too, and silver usually, though having just started some copper items, they're becoming popular.

Awhile ago I bought some natural crystal pillows, absolutely clear, and cut to perfection. I used a few in a couple of mixed bracelets, but have just made a necklace with matching ear-rings with the rest, no colour just these crystals and a few Swarovski crystal bicones...I think at present that's my favourite...there's just so much sparkle, and it's perfect for anytime including Christmas. I'm hoping I can get some more, and make myself something....it'll be my treat to me, and we all need those on occasions.
